OTOX® Cosmetic was originally introduced for the treatment of muscle spasms.
However, it was discovered tha
t BOTOX® Cosmetic injections can reduce the prominence
of the central frown line, the appearance of crow's feet and other expression
lines. Tiny quantities of the toxin are injected into the muscles where
treatment is desired. Three small injections are required to treat the
frown line. The treated muscles weaken over the following week. The
injection is virtually painless and typically lasts between four and
six months. Treatment can be repeated as required.
